Mentor Connect (administered by CPAS) will use its best endeavours to safeguard the privacy of its website visitors. This policy explains the website data processing practices of the organisation.
What information do we collect?
In some areas, we may ask you to register your name, email address and other personal details. We will also collect information from you if you complete any other forms on our site or if you contact us with comments or specific requests. Cookies are used within the shopping site to keep track of order details and to store delivery address information.
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
What do we use personal information for?
If you provide personal information, we may, from time to time, contact you for fundraising or marketing purposes. We may pass your details on to third party organisations that provide services on our behalf, in the course of dealing with your request. These third parties are obliged to keep your details securely and will use them only to fulfil the request.
If you do not wish to receive fundraising or marketing communications from CPAS, please advise us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We do not sell, lease or provide personal information to third parties except to fulfil a request as outlined above.
You may receive occasional email messages from CPAS on matters we consider may be of interest to you, if you have provided your email address for this purpose.
Information to improve our site
We may collect web statistics automatically about your visit to our site. This information will be used to help us follow browsing preferences, so we can regularly improve the website. These statistics do not contain personal data and cannot be traced back to an individual.
It is your right to request details of the information we hold about you. For a copy of your personal information held by us, please contact:
